Cupid's Cup 2009

I'm giving up triathlons this year and just trying to stay active with one sport - running. The "season" has started off with Cupid's Cup 5k on Feb 14. It's an annual race that benefits the Carolinas Heart Institute at Carolinas Medical Center and the Cardiovascular Health & Rehabilitation Program. I ran it with two friends, Pam and Marjorie. A friend of a friend happened to be the photographer for the race and captured this shot of me just at the top of the first hill that I swear was at least 1/2 mile long. But, as you can see, I made it to the top and eventually finished with a personal best - 3.2 miles in 33 minutes!
